Why Little FREE Libraries are the BEST!

Updated: May 31, 2020

Spreading joy and happiness through shared reading.

Last year we added a little library to our front yard. My husband did all of the woodworking! He is amazing! If you want to see some of his other work head over to Instagram and follow @offcuts_woodworks. He really is something great!

Anyway, as an author I have a love of sharing stories with the rest of the world. Not just my own, but the well loved books I have sitting around waiting to be read again and again.

That's why the Little FREE Library seemed like a perfect fit for us and our neighborhood. I get so much joy when people stop in to grab a book, or drop one off as they take runs, bike rides and family walks.

Imagination is the highest kite that can fly…

ACTIVITY:

SET UP A READING NOOK IN YOUR HOME

Kids secret rooms and forts. A great way to get a child to want to read is to set up a reading nook in your home. It can be permanent or temporary, big or small, built in or made of blankets. All you need is a few books, a flashlight and imagination!
