The Astronaut Animals explore space, and now you can do right in your front yard!
Activity:
Mom or Dad draw a Sun, and then 9 rings around it. You can do this activity one of two ways. The first way is to have your kids draw the planets in order around the Sun. As you do this, you can talk about the features that make each planet unique and make sure the kids are repeating the names often as you draw.
The second way is for those with BIG imaginations. Let your kids create their own Solar System with their imagination. They can put one, two, three or even a dozen planets on each ring. Help them name each planet. Ask if their planets have moons? Rings? Life? Big imaginations exist in little people.
